PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an artifact in a magnetic resonance image which is generated by means of a horizontal magnetic field component by supplying a frequency correcting value a high frequency transmitter during a measurement sequence with respect to a correction range and deciding the frequency correcting value in connection with the horizontal magnetic field component. SOLUTION: A basic magnetic field magnet 2 generates a magnetic field which is constant and homogeneous in terms of time, and a gradient coil system 10 includes three gradient coils for generating spatially and mutually orthogonal gradient magnetic fields in proportion to a given current. A high frequency antenna 11 is positioned at the inner side of the system 10. When an image is picked-up in an off-center area (a layer positioned at interval concerning the iso-center of a magnetic device), the frequency correcting valueΔωis obtained by pulse sequence control part 24 and added to a frequency valueωand, then, an additional gradient magnetic fieldΔG is given from pulse sequence control part 24 to compensate the horizontal magnetic field component.
