PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give sufficient thrust to an auger screw, and to efficiently excavate even a hard ground. SOLUTION: A head member 7 is installed rotatably at the front end of a boom 4 for a crane car 1 in the horizontal direction. An expansion-contraction mechanism 9 mounted on the head member 7 is composed of the combination of an internal cylinder 10, in which an upper end is fixed to the head member 7, and an external cylinder 11 externally fitted so as to be able to be vertically moved to the internal cylinder 10. An earth auger device 16 is fixed onto the external cylinder 11 of the expansion-contraction mechanism 9, the expansion- contraction mechanism 9 is extended and moved by supplying oil pressure when an auger screw 24 is penetrated into a ground, and the auger screw 24 can be penetrated smoothly and efficiently even in the case of the hard ground by giving the auger screw 24 thrust in the screwing direction.
