METHOD FOR PURIFYING AMMONIA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying ammonia by which the production rate of ammonia to be purified can be increased more than heretofore. SOLUTION: This method comprises a process to introduce an ammonia stream into at least one membrane which permeates ammonia and to produce a permeate containing the purified ammonia and a residual flow containing impurities in the ammonia flow. In the process, the ammonia stream is introduced into at least one membrane at a temperature in the range from about -30.0 deg.C to about 10.0 deg.C and under such pressure that the ammonia within the temperature range is not liquefied.
