PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print on roughly an overall surface of a card of small size by adding a simple structure. SOLUTION: A picture image formation device is furnished with a printing head 3 to form a picture image on a recording sheet 5, a paper feeding mechanism at least provided on one of the upstream side and the downstream side in the feeding direction of the recording sheet by clamping a picture image forming region including this printing head 3 and a guide member 6 to guide both end parts in the cross direction of the recording sheet 5 in the picture image forming region. Favourably support bases 4a, 4b of the recording sheet 5 are provided so as to face against the printing head 3, and the guide member 6 is constituted so as to be free to change a state of projecting from an upper surface of the support base 4a and a state of retreating downward from the upper surface of the support base 4a over to each other. Additionally, an actuator 7 to drive the guide member 6 to advance and retreat through the support base 4b is provided.
