PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide liquid filling equipment and its method by which filler liquid can be filled at a high speed into a big irregular shape container without an inconvenience such as leakage of the liquid or generation of abrasive waste. SOLUTION: This equipment is provided with a filler liquid tank 31 for storing filler liquid with air pressure worked on the liquid surface, a filler nozzle 5 connected to the tank 31 through a filler liquid pipe 43, a container lifting means 3 for holding the cap 2 of a container 1 and for lifting the cap 2 relative to the nozzle 5, a flow rate measuring means 41 for measuring the amount of the liquid running in the pipe 43, a stop valve 42 for opening/closing a filler liquid passage in the pipe 43, and a control means for opening/closing the valve 42 so that a predetermined amount of the liquid basing on the flow rate of the liquid measured by the means 41 can be controllably supplied to the nozzle 5.
