HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE TYPE SELECTIVELY PERMEABLE MEMBRANE ELEMENT AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber membrane type selectively permeable membrane element in which the inside of each of hollow fibers is prevented from being plugged with a high polymer resin when high polymer resin blocks are formed at the both ends of a hollow fiber bundle respectively. SOLUTION: This membrane element consists of a hollow fiber bundle formed by winding many hollow fibers of hollow fiber membrane type selectively permeable membrane around a hollow tube having plural jet holes on its side surface, wherein when openings of the hollow fibers are subjected to sealing treatment with a high polymer resin to form high polymer resin blocks at the both ends of the hollow fiber bundle respectively and thereafter cutting each of the high polymer blocks of the hollow fiber bundle to produce the objective membrane element, the numerical aperture of the resulting cut face having openings is adjusted to >=80%.
