PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a matchbox capable of successfully igniting without disorder in hand even in a swinging transport, as a stick head is stably brought to contact to an ignition agent (a friction stripe) by contacting and sliding the stick head to the ignition agent along a stick head contact guide. SOLUTION: A matchbox is characterized by its being installed with a stick head contact guide 2 to a part of an ignition agent 1 of the matchbox. It is useful not only in a transport but is suitable especially to old persons.
