<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge tank structure for intake manifolds, capable of joining a branch pipe to a surge tank without causing position displacement while ensuring good air-tightness, and being inexpensively manufactured. SOLUTION: In an intake manifold in which plural branch pipes 2 are joined- arranged in a surge tank 3 in projected manner, the surge tank 3 is a two-part type which is formed of a brazing side member 4 and a non-heated side member 5 which is not brazed. An insertion-projection part 6 for positioning the branch pipe 2 to be inserted, is provided in the brazing side member 4, and a jig receiving enlarged part 6a which receives a pipe enlarging jig for forming a bell-bottomed part 2a at the tip of the branch pipe 2, is formed at the tip of the insertion-projection part 6.</p> |
