PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of the break of a furnace wall by deformation, and cracks at the welded joints between a side plate and a wall mounting member, and between the furnace wall and the wall mounting member caused by the difference of thermal expansion between the furnace wall and a header. SOLUTION: This supporting unit fixes a pair of side plates 14 supporting the both ends of a header 2 vertically to a supporting member 13. The wall- mounting member 10 supports the sup-porting member 13 through a pin 12. The header 2 is supported by the side plates horizontally and movably. When the difference of thermal expansion is generated between the furnace wall 1 and the header 2, the supporting member 13 rotates around the axis of the pin 12 and the generation of the bending moment between the furnace wall 1 and the header 2 can be prevented.
