PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stub end and its manufacture, capable of dissolving degradation in operating performance in manufacture, and obstacle caused by deterioration in cost saving. SOLUTION: Metallic parent material 5 such as stainless is so constituted that a brim part 2 to be continued to the base end of a short pipe part is formed up in a state that the base end periphery of the inner circumferential surface 3 of the short pipe 1 is perpendicularly intersected with the inner circumferential periphery of the outer side surface 4 of the brim part 2, and the short pipe part is elongeted longer by applying pressure to the short pipe part 1 of the parent material to the direction perpendicular to the axis of the short pipe part, after that, a stub end is brought to perfection by providing a groove 7 for a place close to the tip end of an elongated part 6.
