PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a luffa fiber molded article which exhibits the original air permeability and moisture absorption of the luffa and gives a comfortable touch, when used, by binding luffa chips with an adhesive means consisting mainly of a biodegradable polymer. SOLUTION: This molded article is obtained by mixing countless fine luffa chips 1 comprising luffa fibers with an adhesive means consisting mainly of a biodegradable polymer, charging the mixture into a molding space of a mold, and then solidifying the charged mixture to form an arbitrary shape aggregate 10. It is preferable to adhere covers 3 to the surfaces of the aggregate 10. Polyvinyl alcohol used for adhering the luffa chips 1 preferably has a polymerization degree of 200 to 10,000, and the concentration of the polyvinyl, alcohol in an aqueous solution is preferably 2 to 15 wt.%.
