PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frozen food production machine capable of normally continuing the operation control of freezer even in the case of drop in the level of frozen food base in a storage tank and feeding the whole frozen food base in the tank as a frozen food having an excellent palatability except that in a part in which the frozen food base is inevitably left according to the structure of the part. SOLUTION: In this frozen food production machine in which a cooling cylinder 3 with a mixing blade 2 is installed at the bottom of a tank 1 for storing a frozen food base B, the rotation torque of a revolving shaft 4 of the mixing blade 2 is detected and the refrigerating function of the cooling cylinder 3 is controlled by the output of the rotation torque, a sensor 5 for detecting the liquid level of the frozen food base B at a level lower than the top of the cooling cylinder 3 from the outside of the storage tank 1 is arranged and the refrigerating function of the cooling cylinder 3 is made to function intermittently by the output by the liquid level sensor 5.
