PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an electric reel for fishing compact. SOLUTION: This electric reel for fishing is equipped with the spool 11 that is rotatably supported with a manual handle 13 between the side plates 9, 10 of the reel body 8, the reel body 8 that can drive and rotate the spool 11 or spool-driving motor 14 that is mounted in the spool 11, and the motor output adjuster that is installed to the reel body 8 displaceably and can control the motor output from the stopped state to multiple steps. The variable resistor 47 that constitutes the motor output adjuster and the adjusting lever 48 interlocked with the variable resistor 47 are arranged separately to the different positions on the reel body 8 from each other and the variable resistor 47 and the adjusting lever 48 are interlocked with the connectors 49a-49e.
