The invention concerns a universal ergonomic toothbrush, particularly adapted for persons suffering from limited mobility of the upper limbs or for personnel responsible for bucco-dental hygiene, owing to its special shape. The invention is characterised in that it consists of a trapezium associated with angular or raised flat lateral edges. The bristles are produced on only one or both sides of the active part of the brush. A planar central part is designed to receive more or less vertical tufts of bristles enabling to brush the occlusal surface of the teeth. A lateral part is designed to receive oblique tufts of bristles enabling to brush the lateral surfaces of the teeth. The combination of the active part, supporting a double row of bristles, with a large-sized angular handle, facilitates brushing by a third party, as a result of better positioning and total efficient brushing of all the surfaces of the teeth in minimum time. |
