PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller driving device capable of more compactly reducing size and capable of surely and smoothly performing driving by moving a roller chain in the vertical direction by rotating a shaft, and forming a rubbing ball roller so as to move in the vertical direction by being guided to guiding slits according to this. SOLUTION: A roller driving device 1 is formed in an almost height dimension of a human body back part, and a rubbing ball roller 3 installed on a roller chain is constituted so as to move in the vertical direction by a movement of the roller chain. A frame 4 is formed in a U-like plate shape by erecting left/right side edge parts 4b and 4b in the lengthwise direction of a base part 4a, and guiding slits 4c turning in the lengthwise direction are respectively arranged in the left/right side edge parts 4b and 4b. The guiding slits 4c are bored with a gentle curve of forming an intermediate part in a recessed shape, and even an aged person can be adapted to an unforced back face curve. The rubbing ball roller 3 is formed so as to move in the vertical direction by being guided by the guiding slits 4c via a shaft bush.
