PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a napped embroidery pattern, and to provide a method for easily transferring the embroidery pattern to another cloth or sheet. SOLUTION: This method for forming an embroidery pattern comprises embroidering a cloth 1 and then cutting the middle portions of the upper yarns 2 of the embroidery pattern expressed on the surface of the cloth 1 or cutting off the middle portions. The method for forming the embroidery pattern also comprises embroidering the cloth with ordinary yarns as upper yarns 2 and with yarns comprising ordinary yarns and thermally fusing materials, respectively, as lower yarns 5, heating and pressing the cloth 1 from the upper side of the embroidery pattern or from the back surface of the cloth 1 to adhere the upper yarns 2 and the ordinary yarns of the lower yarns 5 to the back side of the cloth 1, and then cutting the middle portions of the upper yarns 2 of the embroidery pattern expressed on the surface of the cloth 1 or cutting off the middle portions.
