PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce scattered dust from a melting furnace, sufficiently suppress production of dioxin, and lower a melting point of molten slag in an environmental processed article melting method where sludge discharged from a sewerage and ash discharged from a waste incinerator are both melted. SOLUTION: The present melting method is adapted such that at least one of fly ash 5 recovered from a flue of a waste incinerator 9 and fluidized incinerated ash among discharged ashes 3 from the waste incinerator 9 is mixed with sludge 2 and molded into a molded article, and waste incinerated ash 4 and the molded article 6 are introduced into a melting furnace 15. A weight ratio of the discharged ash with respect to dewatered sludge 2B in the sludge 2 may be 6.7% or more and 17.5% or lower.
