PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a smooth feeding operation even of thin and light sheet material by providing at least one or more projections on a sheet material loading surface tilting so that the downstream in the conveying direction of the sheet material is lower than the upstream in the conveying direction of the sheet material. SOLUTION: When a document feeding tray 3 is installed in a state in which the downstream in the conveying direction of sheets is tilted downward, a plurality of openings are formed in a document loading surface 50 as a sheet material loading surface, roller members 100 as rotating members are arranged so as to projecting its part from each opening, and this is operated as a projection. Each roller member 100 rotatably supports both ends of a central shaft provided for each member on a support wall integrated with the document feeding tray 3. The lower edges of side regulating plates 51 provided on both sides of the tray 3 form a notch for preventing interference between the roller member 100 and the side regulating plates 51 when the side regulating plates are slid in the width direction of sheets.
