PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with the use of an ink ribbon and ink and enable a full- color printing process to be performed in a single printing step without the necessity of matching colors. SOLUTION: The printing paper 11 to be used has a color developing layer formed of microcapsules containing yellow, magenta and cyanogen dye having respectively resonance frequencies and a developer for developing each of the dyes, both microcapsules and the developer being fixed in the color developing layer with a binder. Further, ultrasonic waves of amplitudes corresponding to the gradation of each of the colors are generated at frequencies corresponding to the resonance frequencies of the microcapsules, by oscillators 22-1 to 22-n in such a state that the oscillators 22-1 to 22-n of a printing head 12 are kept in contact with the printing paper 11. Thus the printing of dots of yellow, magenta and cyanogen is executed. Consequently, the use of ink ribbons and inks is no longer necessary and the full-color printing process is realized in a single printing step without the necessity of matching the three different colors. |
