PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a device and another sheet clogging due to a torn sheet piece following occurrence of sheet clogging in a route to carry a sheet. SOLUTION: Supply of a sheet 3 to a sheet cassette 4 is under a front loading method. A switch-back route 17 is branched on a carrier route 16 to carry the sheet 3 to a picture image forming part 2 from the sheet cassette 4. A carrier roller 22 stores the sheet 3 carried from the sheet cassette 4 to the switchback route 17 from a head end and delivers the sheet 3 to the picture image forming part 2 by switching it back so as to make a rear end of the sheet 3 stored in the switchback route 17 a head end. A fixing sensor 35 detects occurrence of sheet clogging on a fixing device 12. Driving of a picture image formation device 1 is stopped at the time when sheet clogging occurs. However, the sheet 3 being carried in a carrier route 18 connecting the sheet cassette 4 and the switchback route 17 to each other is stored in the switchback route 17 by maintaining sheet carriage. |
