<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound which is a haptenic compound for methyl (dimethoxypyrimidin-yloxy)-(methoxyiminoethyl)benzoate that is a pyrimidinylcarboxy-based herbicide. SOLUTION: This compound is represented by formula I (R1 is Cl or CCH3= N-OCH3;R2 is H, methyl or sodium; R3 is a 1-3C alkyl or a 1-3C alkoxy; A is O or S; and (n) is 1-10), e.g. 6-[2-(2-methoxycarbonyl-3-(1-methoxyiminomethyl) phenoxy)-6-methylpyrimidin-3-yloxy]hexanoic acid. The compound represented by formula I can be produced by a method, etc., for reacting, e.g. a compound represented by formula II with a compound represented by formula III (L is a halogen selected from F, Cl, Br and I; and P is a protecting group, of carboxyl group), then oxidizing the resultant compound, reacting the prepared compound with a compound represented by formula IV in the presence of a base and subsequently removing the protecting group P of the carboxyl group.</p> |
