PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the construction cost and to shorten a construction period till completion on the occasion of constructing an underground pit for maintenance of an automobile. SOLUTION: In regard to these working facilities having a pit and a method for construction thereof, the pit in an underground part below a floor board made of concrete or steel is formed by embedding a container in the ground. After a pit room manufacturing process A for installing necessary equipment inside the container for forming the underground pit and a process B of civil engineering works for digging a hollow for installing the container in the ground are executed separately, an underground container installing process C for installing the container in the hollow and a floor board providing process D for providing the floor board made of concrete or steel to enable access of an automobile onto the container from the ground surface are executed.
