PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily construct a highly heat insulating structure by forming a slit on one face of a heat insulating panel made of flat plate-like synthetic resin foam and having a specific width so that the panel can be folded at the position bisecting the width. SOLUTION: This heat insulating panel is made of flat plate-like synthetic resin foam and has a width nearly twice that between shaft members. A slit is provided on one face of the heat insulating panel so that it can be folded at the position bisecting the width, the heat insulating panel is folded by 180 deg. at the slit to form a heat insulating material with a thickness twice that of two heat insulating panels, and the heat insulating material is inserted between the shaft members to form a highly heat insulating structure. If adhesive double coated tapes are stuck at proper positions on the slit face and opposite side face of the heat insulating panel, the mating heat insulating materials can be simply fixed when the heat insulating panel is folded to form the heat insulating material. The heat insulating material with a thickness twice that of two heat insulating panels can be formed by folding the heat insulating panel, thereby the highly heat insulating structure having a heat insulation thickness hard to cope with a present heat insulation maker facility can be easily constructed in a building.
