发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF PHOTOCHROMIC GLASS
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart coloring/discoloring characteristic equivalent to the same level as that by the melting method by forming a lower layer film, which is obtained from a coating liquid incorporating superfine particles containing silver, a silicon compound and a halogen compound, and an upper layer film, which is obtained from a coating liquid incorporating the silicon compound and a copper compound, on a glass substrate. SOLUTION: The coating liquid, which incorporates the superfine particles having an average particle size of 50 nm or below and containing silver as silver-copper alloy consisting of silver/copper in the range of 99.99/0.01 to 95/5, the silicon compound and the compound liberating halogen by the thermal decomposition, is applied on the glass substrate and is heated to form the lower layer film of 100 to 1000 nm or thereabouts in thickness. It is preferable that this silicon compound is an alkoxysilane compound expressed by RaSiX4-a (R: organic radical, X: alkoxy radical, (a): 0 to 2), and that the halogen liberated compound is a trihalogenoacetate compound, or the like. The coating liquid, which incorporates the silicon compound and the copper compound such as copper nitrate, copper chloride, copper bromide, copper acetate and copper sulfate, is applied on this lower layer film and is heated to form the upper layer film of 30 to 2000 nm or thereabouts in thickness, whereby photochromic glass is obtained.
