PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying mechanism that can easily cope with various conditions by providing a control means for controlling, to a set rotation speed, rotation speed of a rotation speed variable motor for rotating a conveying roller for conveying a sensitive material. SOLUTION: A conveying mechanism 1 provided for, for example, a photographic paper supply portion in a photographic processing device has a plurality of conveying roller 2 for pinching and conveying photographic paper P, and these conveying rollers 2 are rotated and driven by rotation of a brushless direct current motor 5 as a rotation speed variable motor via a reduction mechanism 3 and a screw shaft 4. For controlling the rotation speed of the brushless direct current motor 5, a control circuit 6 for inputting a control signal C for specifying a conveying speed from a central controller and a detection signal of a rotation angle of a rotor of the motor 5 is provided, and it controls timing for supplying exciting current an exciting coil of the motor 5. Thus, an inexpensive system can secure a stable rotation speed of the conveying rollers 2.
