PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building structure composite member provided combinedly with the merits of a steel material of superior dynamics performances such as strength, toughness, resistance to creep and the like and a wooden material of superior bonding properties with other members, good material feeling and the like. SOLUTION: A steel material 2 such as a steel plate or a H-shape steel is embedded into a woody chip 3 and integrally formed by the hot-press compacting or the like. The steel material and the woody plate are not stuck together, but the steel material is embedded into fine woody chips 3 and the material and the chips and bonded by a bonding agent, and a composite member thus manufactured is provided with superior integrity, and the steel material 2 of optional section shape can be disposed on an optional position.
