PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate print density by detecting the viscosity of ink while decreasing the number of elements requiring highly accurate management and controlling the pressure of a press based on the viscosity of ink. SOLUTION: Piston sliding resistance of an ink pump 35 is detected and the pressure of a press is controlled depending on the piston sliding resistance thus regulating the print density of a stencil printer. Sliding resistance of piston is detected by detecting the current being supplied from a power supply 37 to an ink pump motor 30, i.e., the voltage across a reference resistor R connected between the power supply 37 and the ink pump motor 30. |
