PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a venting heat-insulating building material manufactured at a low cost, simple in structure, excellent in heat insulting performance to improve energy-saving efficiency, and excellent in ventilating performance to prevent dew condensation to thereby provide a healthy dwelling house by executing the venting heat insulating budilding material at a roof and walls. SOLUTION: This venting heat insulting building material 1 is provided with a lower plate 2, one or a plurality of intermediate plates 3 arranged below the lower plate 2, almost parallel with the lower plate 2; an upper plate 4 disposed above the uppermost intermediate plate 3, almost parallel with the intermediate plate 3; space holding members 5 disposed between the lower plate 2 and intermediate plate 3, between the intermediate plates 3, and between the uppermost intermediate plte 3 and upper plate 4 to hold each plate at a specified space; and air passages 7 of 2-10 layers, preferably 3-6 layers, formed by the lower plate 2, intermediate plates 3, upper plate 4 and space holding members 5 and opened at least on one side.
