PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dyeability improver consisting of a polyurethane resin composition having pyrrolidone group and capable of improving the dyeability of polyurethanes and finishing them with deep color. SOLUTION: This dyeability improver consists of a polyurethane resin composition having pyrrolidone group (pref. also having N atom of tertiary amine, and a weight-average molecular weight of 500-100,000). When to be used, this improver is preferably mixed with a polyurethane to be improved in dyeability and added pref. at 0.5-10 wt.%, on a solid basis, to the target polyurethane. An active hydrogen-contg. compound having the pyrrolidone group is pref. N-hydroxyethylpyrrolidone, N-hydroxypropylpyrrolidone,or the like.
