PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide carpets having excellent moldability, thermoforming properties, heat-resistant shape retention, and rigidity, and a latex for carpet resin adhesives which is used in the production of these carpets. SOLUTION: A latex for carpet resin adhesives is a latex of a copolymer composed of 5-30 wt.% acid group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer units and 70-95 wt.% olefinic monomer units copolymerizable therewith and having a glass transition temperature of 100-150 deg.C. Carpets contain this latex for carpet resin adhesives.
