PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm an actual sewing position in an object to be sewn held by an embroidery frame for a pattern displayed on a screen. SOLUTION: This embroidery sewing machine for editing the pattern by displaying it in the editing area 16B of the screen 16 based on pattern data, setting the object to be sewn to the embroidery frame where a sewing area corresponding to the editing area 16B is formed, moving the embroidery frame corresponding to the edited pattern data and sewing embroidery at the corresponding position of the object to be sewn is provided with a frame moving key 16C for specifying the optional corner of a circumscribing rectangle as a reference position for indicating the size of the pattern displayed in the editing area 16B and an embroidery range confirmation means for moving the embroidery frame to the position where a needle matches with the position on the sewing area corresponding to a specified reference position (circle mark).
