PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid deodorant suitable for spray type deodorization on deodorization or aromatization of a space and a fiber product by including a prescribed quantity of water and a prescribed quantity of compound having a specific alkyl group or an alkenyl group and at least three carboxyl groups. SOLUTION: A liquid deodorant includes 80 to 99 wt.% of water and 0.01 to 5.0 wt.% of a compound having an alkyl group or an alkenyl group and three carboxyl groups having the carbon number of 8 to 18 in a molecule. This liquid deodorant desirably includes an anionic surface active agent, a nonionic surface active agent, a cationic surface active agent or an ampholytic surface active agent having one or two of alkyl or alkenyl groups having the carbon number of 8 to 22 besides this compound. The anionic or nonionic surface active agent is more desirable. A more excellent deodorizing effect can be obtained by blending a perfume by 0.001 to 2 wt.%, more desirably, 0.005 to 1 wt.%.
