<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a large and light-weight metal head of a wood club for golf of which moment of inertia for the head itself is large and degree of freedom of construction is high, in addition, coefficient of restitution to a ball is high when a ball is hit. SOLUTION: On a metal head 3 of a wood club for golf which has at least a face part 7, a sole part 9 and a crown part 11 and is formed into a shape of a wood club head, the face part 7 is made of maraging steel or titanium alloy and the sole part 9 and the crown part 11 are made of at least one of three materials, i.e., (1) a composite which is composed of alminium alloy and at least one of beryllium, magnesium, silicon, nickel, copper, zinc and manganese, (2) magnesium alloy and (3) aluminum alloy respectively.</p> |
