<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively protect driver ICs or wires in a thermal printing head by preventing such a phenomenon that the adjacent wirings formed on a substrate short-circuit mutually or the wires connecting the wirings and driver ICs for thermally driving heating elements in a continuity state short-circuit mutually. SOLUTION: In a method for producing a thermal printing head 1 equipped with a substrate 2 having predetermined wirings 7,8 formed thereon, a plurality of the heating elements formed on the substrate 2 so as to be arranged in a row, driver ICs 4 connected in a continuity state through the wirings 7, 8 and wires W to drive a predetermined number of the heating elements and a resin seal part 5 for sealing the driver ICs 4 and the wires W, a process for forming the resin seal part is constituted of a first step for preparatorily kneading or mixing a mixture of a granular colorant and a solvent to prepare color paste and kneading or mixing the color paste with a base resin to prepare a coating agent and a second step for coating the substrate 2 with the coating agent so as to cover the driver ICs 4 and the wires W to heat-treat the coating agent.</p> |
