<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal printer preventing tailing or blurr to enhance printing quality. SOLUTION: Dot printing is performed by selectively applying the energy, which corresponds to first or second printing energy obtained by variably controlling both of applied power and current supply, pulse width corresponding to the developed colors of a two-color developing thermal printing medium, to the resistance heating elements of a thermal head 9. By this constitution, as compared with such a case that predetermined printing energy quantity is obtained by variably controlling only the current supply pulse width under constant applied power to perform dot printing, printing quality can be finely adjusted at a time of dot printing and, therefore, printing quality can be enhanced.</p> |
