PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic bearing device to reduce the number of partitems reduce a device cost, size, and power consumption by eliminating detection of the axial position and control regarding a rotary body. SOLUTION: A magnet 37 for a motor, a motor, winding 7c, and the core of a motor 7 rotationally drive an outer rotor 25 by a mutual magnetic attraction force, and the outer rotor 25 is supported in a prescribed position in the axial direction. Thus, support is similarly workable even during rest of the outer rotor 25. This constitution eliminates a need for an axial sensor, an upper axial electromagnet, and a lower axial electromagnet.
