PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive reduction in braking pressure of front wheels when antiskid control is effected with the vehicle in a pitching state. SOLUTION: It is determined whether a vehicle is in a pitching state. With the vehicle in a pitching state, a determination is made in S110 to S130 of whether at least either of the right and left front wheels will be subjected to initial antiskid control that decompresses its braking pressure. If S110 to S113 are all acceptable, a correction factor Ka is computed in S150 in dependence on a front wheel decompression time Tdec. The correction factor Ka gets the smaller, the longer becomes an elapsed time Tc from a start of antiskid control on at least either of the right and left rear wheels to a start of antiskid control on at least either of the right and left front wheels. The decompression time Tdec is shortened or corrected with the correction factor Ka in S160, and according to the correctively shortened decompression time Tdec, the wheel-cylinder internal pressure of the front wheels is decompressed in S170.
