PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly clean dirt, such as fine particles, attached to a coated surface without marring the surface by using a cleaning agent which is used in spray cleaning with high-pressure water and of which the concentration of a cellulose powder at the spray outlet is specified. SOLUTION: This cleaning agent is used by distributing a cellulose powder in water being sprayed from the nozzle outlet of a high-pressure spray cleaning machine, and the concentration of the cellulose powder, preferably having an average length of 10-1,000μm, at the spray outlet is set at 0. 01-5 w/w%. Though a cellulose powder is soft solids, the solids collide one after another, like dominoes being brought down one upon another, against the surface to be cleaned, and when the collision energy of the solids is larger than the adhesion energy of the fine particles, the solids break through water adhering the surface and reach the fine particles, removing the fine particles. Cleaning is conducted by spraying preferably under a spray pressure of 60-120 kg/cm2. Further incorporation of a settling preventive into the cleaning agent is preferable.
