PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing cost while enhancing productivity and eliminating noise of apparatus and to utilize the space efficiently by decreasing the number of parts. SOLUTION: The microwave oven comprises a body having a cooking chamber and a part chamber isolated by a barrier wall 13 having air passing holes, a cooling fan installed in the part chamber, and an air guide 20 having an inlet 21 of air from the cooling fan and an outlet communicating with the air passing holes. The microwave oven further comprises a damper 31 for opening/ closing the inlet 21 provided on the inlet side of the air guide 20, and means 33 for driving the damper 31 to open/close.
