PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry a sheet in high reliabilty without staining a sheet surface even with the short size sheet in poor flatness. SOLUTION: None of nonconformity that a sheet tip is caught is caused (2) as a sheet pushing member 2 revolves in the D direction with no resistance even when the tip of the recording sheet rushes in (1). Additionally, when a rear end of the sheet comes immediately above a sheet carrier means (3), the sheet pushing member 2 works to push the rear end of the sheet from behind. Consequently, a sheet carrier mechanism carries the recording sheet by work to push the rear end of the sheet in comparison with conventional technique to carry it by friction force by dead weight of the recording sheet.
