PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and rapidly sort articles without adhesion, and to prevent the articles from being dropped. SOLUTION: Lump articles thrown in from a throw-in chute are sorted for acceptance/rejection by an acceptance/rejection part, and then, stored in a cylindrical cup 20. A lower side of the cup 20 is covered by a slide plate 24, and the article can be discharged from an opening part 24a of the slide plate 24 by driving an air cylinder of the cup 20. When a cup 21 is located at the throw-in chute part, and the articles are stored, the articles can be discharged from an opening part 24b of the slide plate 24 by driving an air cylinder of the cup 21. The articles can be discharged from an opening part 24c of the slide plate 24 by driving an air cylinder of the slide plate 24. The articles can be sorted and discharged from these different opening parts 24a-24c.
