PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict an image quality decrease by using a black color using a black ink and a composite black using color inks by a preliminarily set ratio when an amount of the black ink remaining becomes a nearend state. SOLUTION: Four ink cartridges 7y, 7m, 7c and 7k as ink supply bodies of each color to supply each ink to heads 6y, 6m, 6c and 6k are loaded replaceably to the upper side of a recording head of a carriage unit 5. A detect electrode for detecting an ink near end state is set to a mount part of the ink cartridges 7y, 7m, 7c and 7k. When an amount of a black ink remaining is detected by the detect electrode to be the near end state, a black color using a black ink and a composite black using color inks are used by a preliminarily set ratio. |
