PURPOSE:To obtain the focus adjusting device which provides highly precise focusing by an extremely easy method without missing a shutter chance although the same focus lock system as before is employed. CONSTITUTION:A 1st range finding means 101 is put in operation in response to the output of a 1st releasing means 106 and after the operation of the 1st range finding means 101, a 2nd range finding means 102 begins to be operated; if the operation of the 2nd range finding means 102 is incomplete before the output of the 2nd releasing means 107, the range finding result of the 1st range finding means 101 is outputted, but when the operation of the 2nd range finding means 102 is complete, the focus is locked and the range finding result of the 2nd range finding means 102 is outputted under the control of a control means 103. |
