摘要 PURPOSE:To automatically correct the detection error of visual line by an individual difference by providing such a constitution as detecting the optical constant of the eye-ball of an observer by use of a value detected by a visual line detecting means, and using this value to correct the visual line detected by the visual line detecting means by a visual line correcting arithmetic means. CONSTITUTION:A visual line detecting device is formed of a visual line detecting means consisting of an ocular 1, a light receiving lens 4, an infrared ray emitting diode 5, and an image sensor 16, and a visual line arithmetic processing part 9 for calculating the optical constant of an eye-ball from an eye-ball image and conducting the correcting operation of the visual line. The visual line arithmetic processing unit contains an optical constant calculating means, an optical constant memory means for eye-ball, and a visual line correcting arithmetic means, which are the constituting elements of an optical constant detecting means for eye-ball. Thus, the detection error of the visual line by individual differences such as the size of the eye-ball is corrected by properly setting each element, and the detection precision in visual line detection is enhanced.
