PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability in the case where the motor is turned off in an electric fishing reel equipped with the operation lever for changing the operation speed. SOLUTION: This electric reel is equipped with a reel body 1, a handle 2 arranged on one side of the reel body 1, and a star drag 3 arranged on the reel side of the handle 2. On the handle-side side face of the reel body 1, are arranged the handle 2, the motor 12, the clutch lever 11 in rear of the handle 2, and a speed-changing lever 13 which indicates the rotation speed of the motor 12 from the rest situation to the maximum rotation by swinging in front of the handle 2. The motor switch PW for turning on and off the motor is set at the top edge of the speed-changing lever 13 on the reel body side.
