PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an attaching accuracy of a master by driving a platen roller in association with starting of platemaking by a platemaking unit, driving a discharge roller at a low speed simultaneously when the master is sent in response to a platemaking speed, and sending a front end of the master to a clamper of a printing drum at an infinitesimal speed. SOLUTION: A platemaking unit 4, a discharge roller 6, a cutter 7 and the like are sequentially installed at a conveying route of a master 2 from a master roll 21 to a printing drum 3. A platen roller 41 is driven in association with starting of platemaking, the master 3 is sent in response to a platemaking speed, the roller 6 is simultaneously driven at a low speed, and a front end of the master 2 is sent to a clamper 31 of the drum 3. Thus, a slack of the master 2 is formed between the roller 41 and the roller 6, and the front end of the master 2 is clamped at the drum 3 almost simultaneously with the platemaking of a predetermined length. Thereafter, the master 2 is wound while tensioning the master 2, and the master 2 is cut in the predetermined length by the cutter 7.
