PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To machine a very fine hole of high accuracy continuously and automatically by carrying out electric discharge machining at an electrode tip end while a machining tank movable in an XY axis direction is installed and a wire electrode is fed to a work placed in a machining solution in this tank. SOLUTION: At the time of machining, a work 23 is fixed to a jig 25 and a processing solution is poured into the processing tank 21 until the work 23 is buried. A wire electrode 33 is drawn from a reel 31 and is laid between an idle roller 41 and a feeding roller 45. Next, the feeding roller 45 is operated and the wire electrode 33 is fed to a direction of a jet nozzle 59. Subsequently, a machining solution 19 is fed from a machining solution feeding device 65 to the jet nozzle 59 and the machining solution is injected from an injection port at a lower end of a wire guide hole 63. After a true straight portion of the wire electrode 33 is cut by a wire-cutting device 62, a current is applied from a power source device 53 to a tip end of the wire electrode 33 descended by a wire guide 35 and the work 23 is subjected to electric discharge machining.
