PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a mixed fiber mat by which masses of fibers can be prevented from mixing in the mixed fiber mat to the least possible extent. SOLUTION: This method for producing a mixed fiber mat 23 comprises installing fiber mass receiving containers 21 for receiving fiber masses 26 when dropping the fiber masses 26 sticking to opening rolls 7 to 12 under the opening rolls 7 to 12 provided in an opening step 6 for opening a mixed fibrous material 3 and uniformizing the mixed fibrous material 3 and removing the fiber masses 26 so as not to mix the fiber masses 26 in the mixed fiber mat 23.
