SUBSTANCE: at hot rolling of strip surface of rolling rolls in finish rolling stand of hot rolling mill is made in the form of encircling annular grooves. It allows to form on surface of rolled strip protrusions having predetermined cross section and size, namely,: height, width and pitch between protrusions. At cold rolling of strip between flat rolls, strip is elastically tensioned between terminal coilers of strip cold rolling mill by 20-80% of elasticity strength of strip material. Protrusions of strip are pressed into material of preliminarily tensioned strip for compensation of elastic tension in zones of protrusions rolled into strip.
