PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a light emitting diode which is improved in light converging properties, emitting white light of high brightness and is manufactured through a smaller number o resin molding processes. SOLUTION: A light emitting diode has a structure, in which a light emitting diode element 21 is mounted on a glass epoxy board 12, and the light emitting diode element 21 is protected by a resin-sealing body 35 provided over the element 21, where a blue light emitting diode element formed of gallium nitride compound semiconductor serves as the light emitting diode element 21, a fluorescent material containing adhesive layer 30 is provided in the rear of the blue light emitting diode element, and a convex lens 30 is provided to the resin- sealing body 35. |
